Remember the times we used to go to Ramadan Bazaars with friends and family with cheap food, the bustling stuffy atmosphere, and grumbling tummies? Those ridiculously long lines for murtabak cause who doesn’t want murtabak?
Being so far away from home, it’s hard to have the opportunity to have some warm Malaysian food and that atmosphere we complain about but love all the same. This year MSSM has brought back our flagship: Pasar Malam, with a slight twist, Bazaar Malam. A cross between Pasar Malam and Ramadan Bazaar.
The event had a lively atmosphere with grumbling tummies and delicious food to go with it. Some of our favourite foods, ranging from nasi lemak to kuih-muih to some dearly missed malaysian drinks were sold from both student vendors and malaysian businesses.
With the convenient timing of the event, we could Buka Puasa together and have a feast lined up with it. It certainly was an evening to remember!
