On a cosy Saturday morning with snow drizzling outside the window, the Malaysian Students’ Society of Manchester has gathered 62 Malaysian students to celebrate the festive season together.
As a committee, we realise how hard it is to be away from home, especially when you are a fresher during the most anticipated time of the year, and to prevent our dearest Malaysian friends from spending the jolly spirit of Christmas alone, tucked away under blankets in their halls. We have brought back our yearly Christmas social with the catchy theme “Mingle and Jingle” to entice students to mingle with their new friends and jingle to the holiday tunes. Mingle and Jingle attempts to unite students with creativity by making Christmas cards while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and Christmas cupcakes.
MSSM’s 2022/23 committee’s first event was a huge success, as students left the venue with new friends and a smile on their faces.
