On November 11th, 2023, MSSM’s Annual General Meeting unfolded, signaling a pivotal moment in the organization’s journey. The primary focus was the election of key positions, setting the stage for a new chapter in MSSM’s evolution.

The heart of the AGM lay in the election of key positions, shaping the next phase of MSSM’s dynamic journey. Positions such as Event Coordinators, Welfare Officer, Publicity Secretary, Media Officer, Sports Officers, and Production Officer were up for grabs.

The AGM kicked off with speeches from outgoing and incoming presidents, Lew Jie Hao and Sang Jia Jing. Following this, the Secretarial Report and Financial Report, presented by Sherry Hor (outgoing general secretary) and Julian Lim (outgoing treasurer), highlighted MSSM’s achievements and financial stewardship.

This was then followed by a motion debate, where a change in the constitution of MSSM was made in which the total number of event coordinators increased from 4 to 5.

Formalities aside, the meeting transitioned to the energetic committee elections. Candidates passionately presented two-minute manifestos, outlining their visions for MSSM. The atmosphere intensified with a lively Q&A session, where candidates engaged with members’ inquiries.

After rigorous rounds, eleven individuals emerged as the chosen leaders.
