Embarking on a new adventure in a different setting can feel like solving a Rubik’s Cube blindfolded, and MSSM is ready to add a touch of magic to your journey towards comfort on Manchester soil. MKita steps in as their trusty sidekick, geared up to transform the city into a playground and fellow Malaysians into partners in crime. The adventure unfolds as MSSM and the freshers set out on a mission of exploration, making Manchester their own!
This year’s MKita, a collaborative event with our partners MALECS and MCOT, unfolded with unbridled enthusiasm, bringing together over 100 eager participants of all ages right at the doorstep of Brunswick Park. Like the sorting hat, attendees were shuffled into various groups.
MKita aimed to guide our freshers through the twists and turns of Oxford Road while unraveling the significant locations of the University of Manchester. Imagine MKita as a vivacious scavenger hunt, where participants embarked on a whimsical journey with multiple stops and missions to conquer before advancing to the next challenge. And oh, the stakes were high – the three groups achieving the highest marks got to receive a bag of goodies …and bragging rights.
Beyond the thrill of victory and the allure of shiny prizes, MKita achieved its ultimate goal – fostering connections. Amid laughter, and perhaps a few well-natured rivalries, participants left the event not only with bags of goodies but also with new friendships. It was a day where Oxford Road witnessed not just a scavenger hunt but a spectacle of unity and shared adventures.
So, as the sun set on Brunswick Park, MKita concluded itself successfully and every participant left with a cool bonus – more Instagram followers.
