On 21 April, MSSM came together with MCOT and MALECS to host a truly special Raya Celebration 2025, bringing the festive spirit of Hari Raya right to Manchester. Originally planned for Platt Fields Park, the rain may have changed our plans — but it couldn’t stop the celebration. The event was quickly moved to one of our committee members’ homes, transforming it into a warm and lively Raya open house. 🇲🇾🏡

The purpose was simple but meaningful: to celebrate Raya together away from home, share delicious Malaysian food, play games, and enjoy cultural performances. The tables were filled with mouthwatering Malaysian dishes, the rooms echoed with laughter, and the familiar festive atmosphere made everyone feel just a little closer to home. 🍛🥟✨

From Malaysian games that sparked loud cheers to performances that captured the beauty of our culture, the night was filled with energy, joy, and togetherness. What made this event truly special was the massive collaborative effort between the three societies — MSSM, MCOT, and MALECS — who worked hand in hand to make it happen. 🙌🇲🇾

This was more than just a celebration; it was a reminder of the strength of our Malaysian community abroad. Rain or shine, nothing can dampen the Raya spirit. 💚🌙🎉
