Despite the gloomy Manchester skies, MKita 2025 shone brighter than ever. Held on 4th October, this flagship collaboration between MSSM, MCOT, and MALECS welcomed our freshers with a day packed with laughter, teamwork, and a true taste of Malaysian warmth abroad. 🇲🇾✨
Originally planned to take place around Brunswick Park and other iconic campus spots, the sudden downpour didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. We shifted the event indoors to the Students’ Union Building, where the games carried on in full swing, bringing freshers together for an afternoon they won’t soon forget. 🌧️🏃♀️🏃

The highlight of MKita was undoubtedly the checkpoint games, which had everyone laughing, cheering, and showing off their competitive side. One of the crowd favourites, “Give it a Whirl,” had participants armed with plastic cups and ping pong balls, frantically trying to whirl the ball across the room without dropping it. The sound of shouts, cheers, and laughter filled the hall as teams raced to transfer the most balls and claim victory. 🏆🏓

Another hit was “Delulu is the Solulu,” a creative chant challenge where teams were handed random Gen Z phrase cards and tasked to come up with the most iconic, hilarious chants and songs on the spot. From TikTok-worthy choruses to dramatic performances, the room was buzzing with energy and roars of laughter as teams delivered their masterpieces. 🎤🪩🔥

Winners walked away proudly with exclusive MKita merchandise bags, but everyone left with something even better—new friendships and unforgettable memories. 🤝💜

A massive thank you to all the freshers who brought their enthusiasm and to our amazing collaborators, MALECS and MCOT, for rolling with the punches and making the event a huge success despite the rain. MKita 2025 was proof that with good vibes and great people, nothing can stop the fun. 🌟✨
