On 30 August, MSSM hosted our Virtual Pre-Departure Briefing for the incoming University of Manchester freshers, bringing together excited new students from across Malaysia for an evening of guidance, connection, and community. From 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Zoom became the starting point of their Manchester adventure. 💜

The session was designed to equip freshers with everything they need before flying off, covering key topics like pre-departure prep, transportation tips, what to expect upon arrival in Manchester, and how to settle in smoothly. We also introduced the Malaysian societies on campus, giving freshers a glimpse into the warm, supportive network awaiting them. 🧳🚆🇲🇾

Our committee shared insights on flagship MSSM events, explained membership perks, and highlighted how our sponsors support both the society and its members throughout the academic year. The energy in the Zoom room was electric — questions poured in, seniors shared their experiences, and freshers got their first real taste of the Manchester student life. 🎓✨

This wasn’t just an information session; it was the first step in building a home away from home. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — we hope you left feeling excited, reassured, and ready for this new chapter. 💛
