On 22nd October, we came together at Bardez to celebrate Deepavali, the Festival of Lights. From 6:30pm to 8:30pm, guests enjoyed an amazing feast that brought the taste of home to Manchester. The menu featured mouth-watering dishes including samosas, chicken tikka, lamb shish kebab, butter chicken, and aloo gobi curry, served with warm naan, rice, egg noodles, and topped off with aloo channa chaat and salad. 🍴🥂

The restaurant was filled with laughter and easy conversations as everyone enjoyed their meals and made new friends. But the most exciting part of the night was seeing everyone dressed in their beautiful traditional outfits. From colorful sarees and elegant Kurtas to stunning Baju Melayus and Cheong-sams, the room looked like a vibrant fashion show celebrating our diverse Malaysian culture.

The night got even better when it was time to announce the best-dressed awards. Not only did MSSM present an award, but the kind owner of Bardez also gave out his own best-dressed prize, complete with complimentary soft drinks for the winner! It was a wonderful way to recognize everyone’s effort in honoring the traditional dress code. 🎉🥳

As the evening ended at 8:30pm, the restaurant buzzed with happiness—plates were empty, but hearts were full. Deepavali celebrates light overcoming darkness, and for one beautiful evening, we enjoyed the warmth of community, tradition and shared joy.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Deepavali Dinner 2025 and to Bardez for their wonderful hospitality. Your presence made the night truly special. Until next time, keep shining bright and celebrating the beauty of our diverse cultures! 💫✨
