As the sports season returned, we proudly hosted this year’s Malaysian Games (MGames), bringing together Malaysians from all across the UK for a full day of energy, teamwork, and friendly competition. This year’s MGames welcomed over 700 players, making it one of the largest gatherings yet. Athletes competed across a wide range of sports, including Basketball, Volleyball, Frisbee, Netball, Football, Badminton, and Table Tennis. From fast-paced matches to nail-biting finals, every game was played with passion and determination. While everyone aimed to win, sportsmanship remained at the heart of the event, reminding us that MGames is about unity as much as competition.

Behind the scenes, the event would not have been possible without the dedication of the organising team. A total of 99 volunteers worked tirelessly throughout the day, supported by 10 referees and 16 committee members who ensured that matches ran smoothly and fairly. Their hard work allowed players to focus on enjoying the games and giving their best performance.

Adding to the lively atmosphere, 11 Malaysian food vendors were set up nearby, offering comforting favourites such as nasi lemak, karipap, and other beloved Malaysian dishes. These food stalls quickly became gathering spots, where players and supporters recharged between matches.

As the day came to an end and champions were crowned, participants left with tired legs but happy hearts. This year’s MGames once again proved that sports have a special way of bringing Malaysians together, and MSSM looks forward to continuing this proud tradition in the years ahead. 🏅🏆✨
