恭喜发财, Gong Xi Fa Cai! MSSM welcomed the Year of the Horse with its annual Chinese New Year Dinner, bringing together members and friends for a night full of warmth, laughter, and celebration.

On the 20th of February, guests dressed in vibrant colours and traditional outfits made their way to the beloved Red Chilli on Oxford Road. From the moment they arrived, the festive atmosphere was electric; smiles, greetings, and the buzz of excited conversation filled every corner of the restaurant.

The highlight of the CNY dinner? The food, of course. Guests were treated to a spectacular spread, including Peking Roast Duck, Steamed Whole Seabass with Soy Sauce, Fried King Prawn with Salty Duck Egg Yolk, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Stir-Fried Potato with Aubergine and Peppers, White Rice, and Pu Er with Orange Peel for dessert. Every dish was a celebration in itself.

As dinner wound down, the energy in the room shot back up for the Lucky Draw. Each guest had received a numbered slip at registration, and with a spin of the wheel, lucky winners walked away with angpao cash prizes ranging from £5 to £20. The suspense and cheers made it the perfect end to the meal.

MSSM once again delivered a night that felt like home. Happy Chinese New Year and may the Year of the Horse bring you prosperity, joy, and good fortune! 🐴🧧
