UKEC – an acronym for the United Kingdom and Eire (Ireland) Council for Malaysian Students – is an umbrella body for Malaysian student societies across Britain and Ireland.

The International Council of Malaysian Scholars and Associates (ICMS) is a non-profit professional network of driven Malaysians, committed to the development of Malaysian youths in three main areas: leadership capabilities, intellectual rigour, and career pathways.

The Association of Malaysian Economics Undergraduates (AMEU) is a student-run, not-for-profit organisation aimed at raising social and economic awareness among youth while providing a healthy platform for constructive discourse on economics-related issues.

The Malaysian Accounting and Finance Society (MACFIS) is dedicated to fostering formal and informal ties between Malaysian professional and corporate bodies and Malaysian students currently enrolled in UK institutions of higher learning.

The Malay Language and Culture Society (MALECS) is a Manchester-based, student-led organisation founded with the principal to spread knowledge on Malay heritage in the aspects of thoughts, language, and culture. Through exciting social events and exhilarating exhibitions, they gather to spread fun without forgetting their roots.

The Malaysian Community of Old Trafford (MCOT) strives to provide welfare assistance for Malaysian students living in Manchester. Staying true to their slogan “Demi Komuniti, Kami Berbakti”, they aim to ensure that Manchester feels like a second home to fellow Malaysians.

The United Kingdom & Ireland Malaysian Law Students’ Union or Kesatuan Penuntut Undang-Undang Malaysia di UK dan Ireland (KPUM) acts as an umbrella body for all Malaysians studying English law across the United Kingdom.

They serve as a platform for students to meet with potential employers and future colleagues through events such as our annual Law Careers Convention, Mooting Competition, and the Legal Academy initiative. KPUM provide students with information about prospective employers and law firms as well as stimulate intellectual curiosity and knowledge about Malaysia’s local legal scene.

iCUBE Malaysia is a non-profit, student-led organization dedicated to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among Malaysian students. It provides a platform for young talents to explore their ideas, gain entrepreneurial skills, and connect with industry experts through workshops, mentorship, and competitions.

The Young Malaysian Engineers- United Kingdom (YME-UK) is a student organisation that aims to represent, develop and empower the Malaysian STEM student community. Coherent to the aims of the organisation, YME hopes to bridge the gap of opportunities between Malaysian Engineering/STEM students whilst also developing different soft skills via networking sessions and workshops.

Malaysian Bioscience Scholars (MBIOS) is a platform dedicated to empowering youth and advancing biosciences through education, innovation, and community engagement. MBIOS connects students worldwide, offering webinars, workshops, and talks that expand academic knowledge in biosciences. The organization aims to promote growth in the biological and life sciences sector by nurturing young talents and fostering a collaborative environment for aspiring scientists. MBIOS emphasizes networking and skill development to contribute to Malaysia’s scientific progress.

The Sarawak Students Association (SSA) is a non-profit organisation set up by Sarawakian students for Sarawakian students. With the aim to connect Sarawakians studying abroad and committed to supporting Sarawakians both abroad and at home with their professional and educational endeavours.
