Bazaar Malam 2026, organised by MSSM in collaboration with MALECS, brought the lively spirit of a Malaysian night market to Manchester during the holy month of Ramadan. Held at Club Academy on 16th March 2026, the event welcomed around 150 to 200 attendees who gathered to enjoy good food, reconnect with friends, and celebrate the feeling of home together.
As the venue filled with the sounds of conversation and nostalgic Malaysian music, guests explored a wide range of food stalls run by both business and student vendors. Vendors such as The Chilli Tale’s, Warung Kita, Sajian Bonda, Kedai Kita, and The Hopeful Bites served delicious Malaysian favourites that reminded many students of Ramadan evenings back home. From savoury dishes to sweet treats, there was something for everyone to enjoy while breaking fast together at iftar.
More than just a food event, Bazaar Malam 2026 created a warm and welcoming space for students to socialise and celebrate Malaysian culture together. The event highlighted the strong sense of community within MSSM and MALECS, making it a memorable evening filled with laughter, good company, and the comforting taste of home. ✨🎉
