Codenames Cup 2026 brought MSSM members together for an evening of teamwork, strategy, and friendly competition at The Hive on 20 April 2026. Inspired by the popular party game Codenames, the event challenged teams to work together by giving clever one-word clues and guessing the correct words on the board while avoiding the opposing team’s cards and the “assassin” card that could instantly end the game.
The tournament featured multiple rounds of gameplay, where teams competed to earn the highest number of wins and secure a place in the grand finals. Throughout the night, players showed off their creativity, communication skills, and quick thinking as spymasters tried to guide their teammates using only single-word clues. The event created an exciting and energetic atmosphere filled with laughter, suspense, and memorable moments between friends.
To make the evening even more enjoyable, guests were provided with snacks and refreshing Ribena soda drinks while socialising between games. With around 40 participants attending, Codenames Cup 2026 successfully gave members a fun way to relax, bond with one another, and enjoy a light-hearted competition near the end of the academic year.🕵️♂️🎯🟥🟦
