Manchester Career Launchpad 2026 was organised to help first and second-year Malaysian students explore different career paths and better prepare for future opportunities. Hosted by MSSM in collaboration with UKEC, the event brought together students from different universities for an evening of learning, networking, and meaningful discussions.
The event featured roundtable discussions, interactive Q&A sessions, and practical workshops led by experienced senior students and recent graduates from fields such as engineering, finance, law, and the arts. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions about internships, career choices, time management, and studying in the UK as Malaysian students. They also received useful advice on improving their CVs, building LinkedIn profiles, and developing professional skills needed for future careers.
Unlike many career events that focus heavily on specific companies, Manchester Career Launchpad 2026 aimed to provide broad and relatable guidance tailored to the Malaysian student experience in Manchester.
